December 23rd I travelled back from Frankfurt to Dresden to be with my family! And this year I did not need to work between Christmas and New Years Eve! YAY! Long holiday for me! I spent the 24th with my Grandmom in the afternoon and after coffee-time my Mom took me to Glashutte. We had a nice dinner and watched Christmas TV that evening. On the 25th Santa Claus was expected to come over and bring gifts. And he came! Long time no see but I was prepared! My Mom's husbands kids and grandkids plus my Boyfriend joined the family reunion. Little Nic was kinda afraid of Santa Claus but he got the most gifts. Seems like I wasn't that good in 2010 because Santa only brought me sweets and money. From my Boyfriend I got a voucher for a candle light dinner at a romantic castle. We will go there for our first anniversary in March 2011! My boyfriend got a new cell phone from me and a photo album of our trip to Maurice! Me and my boyfriend will celebrate into the new year with Elli in Leipzig!! Cannot wait! Pictures!
Winter season is Christmas Market season! The market in Dresden already opened the last November week, but I wasn't able to visit it until last weekend. Got to see my lovely friends, drunk mulled wine and had Bratwurst! But it was sooo cold! Pictures!
The Börsentag in Berlin gave me the chance to visit Stefanie and her family in Berlin. They moved back from France to Germany and found a nice apartment. After a long working day at the Börsentag I was very warm welcomed! Antonia, Steff's little daughter got sooo big, she can already talk in French and German!! Last time I've seen her was at Aga's when she was a babygirl and now she's almost 2 years old! On Sunday we went to the Christmas Market and I bought Antonia a really cute and colorful sweater, which she didn't want to take off all day long. Awww!! Got some pics of our little Aupair Reunion: Pictures!
Since Josi started her career at Deutsche Flugsicherung in Langen, near Frankfurt, the three of us didn't get to see eachother alot! On our last visit, Me and Josi visited Anja and Enrico in their new apartment in Dohna (Dohna is near Glashutte, where my Mom lives) and now it was their turn to visit us in Frankfurt. We actually planned a girls-night-out-weekend but since we got older and wiser, we prefered a weekend with our boyfriends. Fortunately after years, Josi found a lovely boyfriend in Langen! Anja and Enrico arrived in Frankfurt on Friday noon and checked into their hotel already, down my Street. Since I had to work that Friday, and my boyfriend too, we all decided to meet eachother at Josi's in Langen. In the afternoon Josi and her boyfriend showed us around the Flugsicherung and we got an impression what they do and how they live. For dinner we took the train back to Frankfurt. I chose a nice Frankfurt restaurant in Bornheim called "Zur Sonne". We had Frankfurt food and of course Apple wine! The all liked it and we enjoyed the evening there. Saturday Morning Anja and Enrico came over for Breakfast and afterwards we went to Nordwestzentrum for shopping! Yeah Shopping! We all bought some stuff and couldn't wait for Häagen Dasz Ice-Cream in the afternoon. The six of us loved the ice-cream although the waiter was kinda stupid! No tip for him. I showed them around Frankfurt a little but they were happy when we got back at my place. The boys couldn't wait until we cooked them dinner. We had a Mexican dinner with Quesdillas, Hard-and Softsheel Tacos! Yummy and spicy. The plan was to go out after dinner, but we were so stuffed and tired, we didn't make it to the club! Sunday we all slept in. Anja and Enrico took the train to Langen and then the car back to Dohna. My boyfriend stayed until the afternoon, since Formula 1 was on TV and Vettel won the world-championship! Pictures!
This year Siham didn't throw a huge Birthday party. After work in the evening, she invited some friends to the apartment. Unfortunately her boyfriend Mehdi was not able to celebrate with us, because he had to work out of town, but his Mom, Aunt and Sister came. We had champagne, birthday cake (with low calories, baked by our nice neighbor) and watched soccer. Hehe- kidding! We had a nice girlie evening! Pictures!
This year's summer vacation we spent far far away.. actually it was the farest location I ever been to: Mauritius. The little island is situated in the very south of the world: Start in South Africa, turn right into the Indian ocean, to hit Madagascar, then follow the ocean further right to get to the french island Reunion and then again further right..there it is! If you sail south of Mauritius you will end up at the South Pole! Cool, huh?
On Wednesday, September 8, me and my boyfriend flew with Emirates from Frankfurt to Dubai. We had a 3-seat-row for ourselves and own seat-computers. I watched two movies and three sitcoms and then we already landed. The flight wasn't that long, only 5 hours and we got there before midnight. It was already dark in Dubai and we saw millions of lights. I was more impressed then when I landed in New York, really! The Airport is a huge shopping mall, with luxury shops, restaurants, hotels and fitness gyms. Since we had to wait 3 hours for our connecting flight to Mauritius we went shopping! But the shopping fever didn't last long, because the mall was crowded with millions of people. We decided to took a quick nap on those cozy sleeping chairs at our gate and I'm glad we did. The connecting flight was horrible. It was also Emirates but me and my boyfriend couldn't sit together. He was sitting 5 rows behind me, next to a fat american couple. I was sitting next to an italian couple, who needed to go to the toilet every half hour. It was impossible to sleep on the 7 hours flight: the couple, crying babys or flight attendants kept me awake. After 7 hours and at 10 am we landed on Mauritius: sunny, blue sky and 25 degrees but we very tired. A cab drove us another 1 hour to our hotel, which was located in the south-western part of the island.
When we arrived at our hotel a nice woman welcomed us with a warm washing-cloth and our luggage was stored in a room, since we could not check into our Junior Suite yet. We were seated on a very cosy couch which huge pillows and we got welcome-drinks: of course I chose the one with alcohol, after the long trip. We had a wonderful view from the couch, over the pool area to the Indian Ocean and while we waited for our room we almost fell asleep. After one hour on the cosy couch finally got to see our Suite. It took a while to get there, because the hotel-area was large- From our Junior Suite we could right walk into the Indian ocean..only a few metres to the beach! Perfect! The Suite got a huge sleeping/living-room, with flat-screen TV, bathroom had a rain-shower, 2 sinks and a whirlpool. But to let you know we used the whirlpool only ones. Why using it, when you got the ocean infront of your door? The beach was about 3 km long, white and sandy. We were able to do all kinds of watersports for free, excluding scuba diving. Moreover the hotel had a beauty spa, two tennis courts, gym, internet lounge, kids-club, 2 pool-bars, 3 pools, 3 restaurants and a souvenir shop.
We stayed at the beautiful hotel most of the two weeks, since we wanted to get a nice tan and relax. But we also got to see the Island: We went a catamaran tour to another part of the Island and we did a tour called "Beautiful South" where we got to see the nature of Maurice: mountains, vulcanos and waterfalls. Our hotel was very far away from the next town, not walking-distance! We once took a cab together with another German couple to buy some water. Because water bottles were really expensive at the hotel. We also wanted to try the public transport, but we couldn't find the bus station and we rarely saw a bus passing by. Guess they don't have a bus-schedule over there. And before we get lost in the middle of nowhere..no thank you! As I already wrote we spent most of the time at the hotel: woked up by the sun at around 7, had yummy breakfast and relaxed at the beach. The beach wasn't crowded at all: only couples booked the hotel, no families with kids! Everytime I went swimming in the Ocean, I was the only one. Not that the water was cold, but not many people went swimming. I really liked the ocean to be mine ;)
The catamaran tour was very nice: Together with some other couples and an Indian family we took the catamaran called "Preskil". The weather was really cloudy at the beginning but it became a little better when we arrived at the Island called "Cerfs". On our way to Cerfs we saw real dolphins. A whole family of about 9 dolphins! I tried to get some pictures and shoot a quick movie, but they swam so fast. That was my first time, that I saw dolphins in nature. On the catamaran we also had a quick bbq for lunch. The Island Cerfs is a vulcano island, with very dark rocks laying on the white sand. Nice contrast! We got 3 hours to walk around the Island and we found seastars :) Too bad we were not allowed to take them home.
The second tour "Beautiful South" started a little late. We got picked up by a huge tour bus 45 minutes late! The bus was filled with Austrian tourists and the tour-guide spoke such a bad German, we hardly understood her. The only thing we unterstood was when she asked us if we brought mosquito spray along. We all did not! According to the lady we would need the spray sooner or later, because we would take a walk in the jungle full of mosquitos. We all got a little scared and convinced the bus driver to stop at a shop where we could get spray. At the end we didn't buy the spray, because it was so expensive and fortunately we never met any mosquitos that day. Instead we saw lotz of mountains, waterfalls and a so-called "Colored Earth".
All in all we had very relaxing summer vacations and will come back! Pictures!
Another wedding - this time: Ramona and Frank said YES! The wedding took place in Adenau, that's where the Nürburgring is. A town in the Eifel, really beautiful situated in the middle of the Nürburgring. Before the wedding, we went to the photo-shooting. Ramona and Frank got some really good pictures taken by a photographer. After two hours in the hot sun, we drove to the church, where all family members awaited us. The ceromony was very romantic, with real songs by 2 girls, they sounded sooo good! Especially when they sang Eternal Flame, I got some tears in my eyes! The wedding party afterwards was at a hotel in Adenau. Same where we slept at, so we could party until the end, at around 3 a.m! Awesome party, good music, yummy food! Thanks to Ramona & Frank. Pictures!
Every year in August Dresden celebrates itself with a three day street festival. This year I only attended the festival on Friday to meet some of my friends: Franzi, Ralf, Anja, Enrico and Romy. We walked around the old-town, checked out the snack bars, souvenir shops and stages where artists performed. Guess who performed that Friday Night at Theaterplatz: Stefanie Heinzmann with her new song "Roots to Grow" !!! I tried to take pictures, but we were standing tooo far away. Oh well, took some pics of me and my friends instead: Pictures!
Ramona and Frank invisted us to visit their new hometown Adenau. Adenau is situated in the western part of Germany, close to Kontanz and Cologne. The nature reservat is called Eifel. The very famous Nürburgring crosses the town Adenau. The weekend we visited Ramona and Frank, a car-racing-event, DTM, took place. The whole town was packed with racing fans from all over the world and it was very interesting to watch the cool cars passing by. On Saturday we drove to the Nürburgring to check out the whole area. It's like an entertainment park, with roller-coaster, shops, high-tech screens, restaurants and even a bar-town. We didn't buy tickets to watch the DTM, since they were tooo expensive for one day. But maybe next year in summer we will buy tickets for the 24-hours-car-racing event. On Sunday we drove to Konstanz, where Ramona works. They took us on a little sight-seeing-tour and I liked Konstanz alot! Next year I will come back there to go to the Bundesgartenschau. Pictures!
Elli is doing an internship at Amgen in Holland until September. Since Frankfurt isn't that far away I visited her in Tilburg. Took the train Friday evening and got there after midnight. Elli picked me up at the train-station. It was soooo good to see her, last time was in November, when we visited Aga in Belgium. Elli is really enjoying her internship and lives with other dutch students in a students-house. She has a really tiny (very tiny!) room, where only a bed and a desk fit in. Shower, Toilet and Kithchen she has to share. What we did: On Saturday we took the train to 's Hertogenbosch, a really beautiful town north of Tilburg. I love the cute little dutch-houses and the of course we went shopping, saw some attractions (cathedral, town hall, farmer's market) and had typical Bossche Bollen (like a German Windbeutel, but bigger) for coffee. In the Evening we went back to Tilburg, because the largest funfair of Holland was all over Tilburg! Gosh I never been to such a big funfair! Me and Elli rode on a really high flying swing, had cotton candy and enjoyed other attractions. On Sunday we slept in and guess who visited us in the afternoon? Aga and Sebastian!!! They came all the way from Belgium to meet us at Elli's place! Sebastian got so big! He is really cute and talkative. We walked through the park nearby and later to the funfair again, where Aga and Me went on a really dangerous swing! But it was sooo cool!! I would do it again and again! At 6 pm the train took me back to Frankfurt. All in all it was a really awesome weekend with the girls! Pictures!
Sabine and Christian got married! Me and Susi were invited to the ceremony and wedding party. Susi came over from Egypt and I came over from Frankfurt. Together we took the train to Dresden's suburb Coswig in the morning. The ceremony took place in villa Teresa, where also their families and friends joined us. Bine and Christian looked lovely!! It took about 1 hour until they were finally husband and wife. Right after the ceremony we walked down to the river Elbe, where a chartered ship waited for us. For two hours we went by ship down the Elbe and then back again, had champagne and sandwiches. After the boat-trip we all drove to the Barthmuehle. When Sabine and Christian got there, they had to cut off a huge heart and saw a big piece of wood! It was funny, also all the other games were! The party was full of games, dances and good food! I loved the strawberry wedding-cake, so delicious!! All in all a perfect wedding-day! Pictures!
My penpal Noell and her husband Matt landed in Frankfurt am Main on Friday, June 11th at 7 a.m. I took the day off to pick them up from the Airport. I printed out a big sign that said "Welcome to Germanny Noell + Matt", with a German flag too..so they knew where I am. But luckily there weren't many people so I waited right infront of the gate. And there they came!! It was cool to see Noell and Matt again - last time was back in 2004! We took the train to my apartment, where Matt had his first German beer, then we picked up the rental-car, drove back to my apartment, I made them lunch and after lunch we went on a sight-seeing tour. The sight-seeing tour included: Römerberg square, Frankfurt's cathedral, pedestrian-bridge Eiserner Steg, Frankfurt Stock Exchange and Opera House, since there is nothing else to see in Frankfurt!!! We had dinner at an Applewine-Restaurant called "Zur Sonne", where we met my friend Nadja. Noell and Matt had a German dinner and of course beer! Cannot remember how many beers and coffee Matt had this day to stay awake? But it was a long day for both of them, we went to bed at 11 p.m! Pictures!
Saturday, June 12thOf course we didn't sleep in on Saturday, got up at 9 am, I made German breakfast with Brötchen and scrambled eggs and off we went to Rüdesheim in our rental car. Rüdesheim is located at the Rhine river and the scenery is really nice there. We did the Rhine-tour: took the cable lift from Rüdesheim up to the Niederwalkddenkmal, checked out the memorial, then hiked to another cable lift, went down to Assmannshausen, visited the red-wine-fest and took the boat back from Assmannshausen to Rüdesheim. At the red-wine-fest they served red-wine-cake!!! So yummy!! And in Rüdesheim Noell and Matt had German Schnitzel for dinner. It was a really cool day, the weather was perfect, not tooo hot and the scenery was aweomse, river, castles, nature.. Pictures!
Sunday to Monday, June 13, 14thNoell and Matt couldn't sleep in on Sunday either, because we had to drive all the way up to Berlin. We wanted to get there by 1 pm, since the Germany game was on at 4 pm. I guess we left at 7 am and Matt finally was able to drive about 200 km/h on the autobahn. We passed Göttingen and Magedburg and thanks to the GPS we found the hotel AGON. The hotel was nice, I had a single-bedroom and they had a double-bedroom. We even found a free parking spot infront of the hotel. After grabbing another beer for Matt we walked downtown Berlin to the TV-Tower. And of course we went up! Kinda expensive but oh well, we had a fantastic view on Berlin. We saw the Brandenburg Gate and the street "Unter den Linden" from there, and more sights, which we all wanted to visit the next day. We saw the Germany-Soccer-Game at "Kulturbrauerei", even got a place to sit down, drunk Berliner Kindl and partied up with all those other fans. Of course Germany won against Australia!!! On Monday we saw all of the historical sights of Berlin: Brandenburg gate, Berlin Wall Memorial, Checkpoint Charlie, German embassy, Street "Unter den Linden", Steet "of the 17th July", Siegessäule and more! We chose a potatoe restaurant for dinner, which served real good German food, had potatoe soup and even a potatoe shot after dinner. Pictures!
Tuesday, June 15thWe left Berlin after Breakfast and drove South to the Spreewald. I planned a relaxing day, that's why I chose Spreewald. You can go on a boat-ride thru the Spreewald, and that's what we did for 3 hours! We had Spreewald pickles on the boat and bread with yummy fat! Stopped in Lehde and watched all those old people. There were maaany old people, buses dropped them off and they all went on a boatride.. but our boat wasn't filled with many old people, thanks god! After the tour we drove to Glashuette to my Mom's, where we were really welcomed! She made German Roulade, with Kloese and red cabbish, plus Strawberries and Vanilla Ice-Cream for desert. It was good! We chilled this evening, the guys watched soccer and me and Noell read her old laters, from 1998 and looked at my collected Hansons stuff. Tibor also joined us!Pictures!
Wednesday, June 16thNoell and Matt's Anniversary!! Breakfast with Asti-Champagne! We visited the Fortress of Königstein that day, also wanted to visit the Pillnitz-Palace but got lost on the way there. There was a huge construction and the redirect led us to the middle of nowhere. So we skipped the palace and drove to Dresden, with the car having the roof down. In Dresden we found a free parking spot in the Neustadt, walked along the river Elbe, had Ice-cream at Venezia, next to the golden Horseman, passed the Semper Opera House and Zwinger and walked up the Hausmans-Tower. I've never been up there before. Pictures!
Thursday, June 17thWe went to Prague! Because it is the romantic capital of Czech and it is only 1,5 hours away by train! I booked train tickets for only 19 Euro/ per person. We left Dresden in the morning and guess what we rode a Czech train. The restroom was kinda disgusting but we made it to Prague! And then the big sight-seeing-tour started. I printed out a Czech city-map and off we walked thru Prague! We had four hours in Prague until the train left and we saw alot: Charles bridges, Cathedral, Castle, inner-city. It was exhausting but I bet the guys liked Prague, Matt especially enjoyed the Czech beer! Pictures!
My penpal Noell and her husband are soon coming to Germany!! On June 11 I will meet them again! Cannot wait! They will stay in Germany for two weeks and I will be traveling with them for one week. The tour plan for the week is: Frankfurt > Berlin > Dresden > Prague! Afterwards they will head on the Stuttgart, Munich and Black Forest. Got some old pictures from when I met them in the U.S. while my Aupair year in March 2004. Pictures!
I love Wellness and that's why me and my boyfriend took some days off. We choose a Wellness hotel in Bad Brueckenau, which is near Fulda. The historical idyll of this state spa fascinated us. Around the Spa Hotel were many buildings located: a Spa Hall building, the Palace Hotel Fuerstenhoff, Bellevue, Swan Villa, Mary's Church and a King Ludwig Monument. It all had a royal atmosphere, built in harmony. The Vital Spa offered indoor and outdoor pools, sauna and fitness club. We both had a head-, foot- and back massage, which were very relaxing. Although I didn't like the foot massage so much, it was kinda weird. Unfortunately we had rain all four days, so we couldn't go for a walk in the nature, but we visited Bad Kissingen and the Hammelburg, which were near by. Pictures!
The Luminale is a lighting event, which takes place in Frankfurt Rhine Main. Around 150 lighting events transform Frankfurt's muesums, galleries, architectures or monuments into a lighting laboratory. I got two tickets for the German Stock Exchange and went with Nadja to the opening event. After some snacks and wine we walked around in Frankfurt to check out the diffrent lighting installations. The Stock Exchanges was covered in blue light, the Hauptwache in red light and the central station was covered with animals slides. Another Frankfurt event we went to, was the Night of the Museums. Nadja and her boyfriend Matthias joined me and we tried to visit as many museums as possible. Unfortunately we were only able to visit the Museum of Media, the Museum of Dialogue and the Palmengarten. At the Museum of Dialogue we had to lead ourselves through an exhibition in a completely darkened room. I felt like being blind, I could not see anything, strange! We also stopped at the Palmengarten to have a cocktail and afterwards went by bus to the Museum of Media, where a burlesque dancer performed. Pictures!
I'm on my way back to Frankfurt. The four-day-trip to Usedom is already over. The train is really crowded today but fortunately I got a free seat in Berlin already. My relatives gave me a ride to Eberswalde and are now heading to Thalheim to drop my Aunt and my Granny off. Then my Mom and my other Granny are going back to Dresden. So lemme tell you about it: Thursday Monring I took the train to Anklam, where I met up with my relatives. We all went further to the German Island Usedom. I have been to Usedom when I was very young, but I cannot remember anything. We stayed in Koserow, a small town very close to the Baltic Sea. My Aupair friend Stefanie organized the apartments, which were very clean and got everything we needed the four days. Even a dish-washer was there! I slept with my Aunt upstairs and my Mom and my two Grannys downstairs. We all came together in the downstairs' apartment to have breakfast, lunch and dinner together. We had fish every day and it tasted sooo good!! Since it was still March, the Baltic Sea was covered with ice a little bit and snow was all over the beach. You actually could only sea snow, snow and snow! But my two Grannys really enjoyed the fresh air and the Sea. There weren't any tourists at that time of the year, so nothing was crowded like in the summer. One day we even went to Poland to get cheap gas for the car, so the Grannys really got around. We visited Heringsdorf, Ahlbeck, Swinemünde and Zinnowitz. Pictures!
Since I'm back in Frankfurt I get along well with my tooth, although in my mouth are still the operation-nets. The dentist actually wanted to get them out last Thursday or Friday, but he didn't call me. Guess what? He called my yesterday that he was sorry about it. Since he had to hold some lectures in Frankfurt, we wanted to meet up in the hotel. So now I have to go to a local dentist in Frankfurt tomorrow to get the stuf out of my mouth! I hope I do not have to pay 10 Euro again! Otherwise I will send the bill to my dentist for not showing up! Next weekend I will head over to Thalheim to celebrate my Aunt's and my cousin's Birthdays. We will have a little BBQ and need to talk about our upcoming trip to Koserow. Both of my Grannys got a trip to the Baltic Sea from me! The one has been to the Baltic Sea already decades ago and the other one, never ever been to the Sea. My Mom and my Aunt will join us, so it will be the 5 of us going up there. Thanks to Stefanie, who organized the accommondation. Her parents have two apartments in Koserow, which we will rent! I'm really excited about the 4-day-trip, I hope it won't be tooo stressful!?
The week off is over and I'm on my way back to Frankfurt. The week was filled with pain than with joy, so I couldn't really enjoy my Birthday. That's what happened: On Monday I had an appointment at the dentist's, where they filled up my tooth. Since December I had a huuuge hole in that tooth and it was hard to keep it clean, moreover I could only eat on one side. I got used to it but after filling it up, my tooth started to pain me again! I had a second appointment on Wednesday but I couldn't sleep the two nights, I had so much pain! Gosh! I went straight to the dentist at 8 am. The dentist opened the filling and the pain was gone within a hour. She told me that the tooth either needed to be pulled out or the toothtops needed to be gone. I decided to let the second be done. I got an appointment for a tooth-operation on Friday Morning, but I was on antibiotica since Wednesday. So I wasn't allowed to drink any alcohol on my Birthday. More to my Birthday later- The tooth-operation lasted one hour and was made by a really nice (Kieferchiruge). I decided to start with pain-killers right after the operation, because I was so afraid of the pain. But I didn't feel anything the next 2 days. Half of my mouth was still (betäubt) so I couldn't open it or eat anything. I tried to cool the one side but I got a huge (Beule). It looked horrible and my Birthday party was planned on Saturday. First I decided to blow the whole thing off, but I got a little better and invited my friends to the Peaches. I booked a table for 18 people and we got a separate room, which was nice, because nobody could see my swollowed face. Who was there: Anita, Anja with bf, Franzi with bf, Nadine, Josi, Stefan with gf, Mario and Joerg. I got lotz of presents which I all liked! Thanks again guys! The 11th I spend the day with my Mom, we went to the hair-stylist in the morning and afterwards we had a yummy breakfast in Alt Koetzschenbroda. We went shopping a little bit and in the afternoon returned to my Grandmom to have cake and coffee. Nice, but not nice tooth :( Pictures!
Finally I was off. Finally! The whole January I had to work, because my collegue was on vacation in Argentina. I made it and the website is still running and nobody complained about me. I went home to my Mom's because it was her Birthday on the 5th. So I spend the whole weekend in Glashütte. My uncle and aunt came from Thalheim, Andreas' children came too, so we had a nice birthday party. It snowed alot in January and so I was really overwelmed by all the snow. On the 7th we went to the Czech Republic and gosh there was more snow than in Glashütte. I took some pictures, so you can see the snow-mass! Pictures!
I'm planning to stay until February 14th in Dresden and since I broke up with Jens, I will sleep at my Grandmom's. I hope we will get along well..we have to, since we are soon going on vacation to Usedom in March. About Jens: I haven't seen him since the Börsentag in Dresden, but he sometimes sends me a text message on my cellphone, how much he misses me. I hope he will get over me soon, so we can both carry on with out lives. He needs to concentrate on studying for his upcoming finals in March! I guess, it is much harder for him, since he is sooo down. Coming week I have two appointments at the dentists, the tooth that hurts me since December needs to be done. My 27th Birthday is on Thursday and I'm planning a little party with my friends at Peaches. Booked a table already for 9 p.m. Cannot wait to see all my friends again, although 27 sounds old!
Guess what is nice? Working where you came from. For the Börsentag I had to go home to Dresden. It took place at the Congress Center on a Saturday and since I had so much fun the other year, I was allowed to represent the German Stock Exchange again. My collegue Enrico joined me and although the day was really busy and we could hardly breath, we had lotz of fun.
It was nice to be busy that weekend, because I made up my mind and broke up with my boyfriend Jens. I really thought about the whole relationship and my inner feeling told me, that Jens is not the one, I want to spend the rest of my life with. And if you know that, why keeping the relationship alive? It was hard for Jens, since he did not expect the break up. It was also hard for me to say goodbye. I hope he will find a nice decent girl and Im sure he will. He is a nice guy, always made me laugh, always made me feel good .. the vacation in Greece and Portugal was awesome but something was missing. And the missing something brought me to my decision. Oh well, sad day but I got some pictures from the Börsentag: Pictures!
2010 is here! Time to look back at the last years: Graduated from High School in 2001, graduated from Design School in 2003, gone abroad to Chicago for a year, graduated from Webdesign School in 2005, got my University degree in Media in 2008 and are now working at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. It went well for me the last years but when I will finally find true love? I'm still wondering if my current boyfriend is the right one, maybe, maybe not.
Anyway I need to make up my mind about that. For New Years Eve, Me and Jens went to his friends. There were some other couples and we played some games and had italian food. At midnight we were at the "Blue Wonder Bridge" to watch the fireworks. It was okay, nothing special, I didn't expect much, around 3 a.m. we were back home. I got 3 more days for myself before I had to be at work again, so on the 2nd of January I met up with Franzi and we went Ice-Skating. Pictures!
