I hope all of you had a great Christmas Eve!!? Mine was nice, my Grandmom came over to our apartment to celebrate Xmas with us. Together with my Mom we had dinner and then finally we opened the presents at 6 pm! I know you want to know what I got for Xmas: a new cell phone (nokia), since my old one is broken. Then I got lotz of money and gift-certificates, parfume, two belly-buttom-rings, one from Stefan and one from my Mom and lotz of chocolate!
I won't be able to eat all the candy before the new year starts *aaah* At 10 pm I will go over to Stefan's apt to spend time with my lovely boyfriend. He had to work all day long, and right now he is at his parents house for dinner.. So I guess we will just watch movies tonight and then go to bed. Tomorrow Stefan has to work again :( and I will go over to my Grannys to have lunch there. My Dad will join us for lunch, and later that night we might go to Bowleparty! We will see! On the second Christmas Day we are invited to Stefan's parents for a big Christmas lunch, mmmh, cannot wait to eat all the yummy stuff!! But I promise after Christmas, I will start a diet. LOL! Picture!
Hey Ho! Christmas is so soooon, I just realized today. But the weather is still toooo warm for this season. On Saturday we picked up Stefan's new cats! Remember? Mogli and Kenny, the black and the tigered one! Oh gosh they got sooo BIG when we picked them up in Boxdorf. When we got to Stefan's apartment they were a little shy at the beginning but like a half hour later they ran and jumped thru the apartment. They love their new home!! For sure!! And they are sooooo cute!! I need to upload some pictures later..since they are two brothers they always sleep together and play together, aww!!
Saturday evening I went to Franzi's aunt for a new-kitchen-party! But I only stayed until 10 pm, because I really wanted to party up with my girls at Bowleparty. And Bowleparty rocked!! We met lotz of people and of course we took party pictures, the one from Nightlife is already online and you can check it out. Picture!
Oh yeah I forgot to tell you that Stefan got sick on Wednesday..poor sweety, his one eye hurted so much that we had to go to the ER on the holiday. One day later the other eye started hurting as well, thats why he didnt go to work all week long!! But it is getting better :) Good for him that he stayed home, he could spent more time with the new kitties!
On Saturday we went over to Thalheim for the Carneval event! Leo, the dog welcomed us and gosh he got BIG!!! The Carneval started at 8 pm - so we got dressed up as "movie stars" and got there in time. Like every year the whole show was awesome, they presented us the top-10 of the best movies: such as Dirty Dancing, Schuh des Manitou, etc. At the end of the show, the dance floor opened and me and Stefan danced together for our first time! Stefanie and her boyfriend Manuel joined us and we had lotz of fun! Pictures!
I also had my first oral-class-presentation today, and I was nervous like every time! But I did a great job, the teacher gave me a 1,7! Yeah! Go Janny! Next presentation is in January, so I got lotz of time to prepare. This week will be great: Tomorrow Im off, Wednesday is a holiday, Thursday I only have one class and Friday off as well! I actually wanted to go and visit my cousin Stefanie in Gera this coming Saturday, but she wont be in Gera-- but she loves her new studies and the new WG! Since Im not going to Gera I will party up with my girls at Bowleparty!! YEAH!
You really missed out if you havent been there! Even Jamie came all they way from Chicago!! Thanks again to Elli who did a great job organizing the whole event! So, me, Stefan, Anja and Anja went over to Leipzig on Friday, we dropped the girls of at Anjas Mom's house and went straight to the Schnitzel-restaurant in downtown Chicago! Actually not straight because me and Stefan got lost in downtown, we didnt find the street and walked around and asked for help, but nobody could really help us! When we got there everybody already ordered a drink, but they waited for us with ordering the Schnitzel! And the SCHNITTTZELLLL were HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!! I never ever had such a huge schnitzel, wow! Did actually somebody finish the Schnitzel? Guess Jamie was the only one, we took the rest home for Elli's doggy!! After Schnitzel restaurant we chilled at Brauhaus Tomaskirche, had a beer or wine and then went back to Elli's house..except for Jamie and Franzi, they took the last train to Halle!
Saturday morning me and Elli got up and started preparing the food: salads, sticks, etc! Lotz of work, and Elli's mom was glad we helped her. At 1pm we picked up Jamie and Anna from the trainstation: Elli planned a sight-seeing tour by bus! The sight-seeing tour was nice, except for the tourguide who always said Leipzig is better than Dresden! No it is not, just because Leipzig has a new city tunnel which wont be finished until 2012 and lotz of university buildings, Dresden got more more more historical sights *hehe* Jamie will see! So after the tour we had a coffee at Elli's house and then we already got ready for the party. Elli rented a really scary youth-club (?) in the middle of nowhere (thx god people found it!) but it was scary enough for the party! We setted everything up and decorated the rooms and finally at 8 pm the first party guests showed up! The party was AWESOME! Everybody dressed up and everybody had fun! The bowle with Augen was a huge success and the whole food was gone after 2 hours! At 5 am we all went to Elli's house and fell asleep!!..but the sleep only lasted until 9 am!
Sunday morning at 9 am we had breakfast and checked on trains for going to Dresden..fortunately Christian agreed by taking his car! So me and Stefan went to Dresden earlier then the rest of the group, bc we had to pick up the Anja's as well, actually we all got to Dresden in time, around 3 pm! But the weather was awful, it rained heavy!! No excuse, if Jamie ever comes to Dresden I promised him a sight-seeing tour!! And remember Jamie, Dresden is better than Leipzig *hehe* And we walked and walked thru the rain, checking out all sights and we were even inside of the Frauenkirche!! At 5 pm we dropped of Anna at the trainstation to take the ICE to Paderborn, then went to Stefan's new apartment, had a Glühwein and finally had a DöNER at Babos! Yeah Jamie's first Döner! And he loved it, although he ordered fries plus Döner! After dinner the boys picked up the car from the trainstation and we waited for them at Habibi Shisha Bar-- did you notice Jamie..the foreign beer we ordered for you was non-alc? But it tasted good!!?? That was a great weekend at Elli's! Pictures!
The Halloween Flyer is online! Coming up this week: Elli's Halloween party in Leipzig on Saturday! Lotz of people will be there to party party party!! YEAH! Cannot wait! Picture!
Yesterday me and Stefan went to Stefan's Grannys 60th birthday! We celebrated the birthday in Moritzburg, at a nice hotel close to the castle of Moritzburg! After coffee'n'cake we went on a horse-ride to the castle.. unfortunately the weather wasnt that good, it was really cold on the ride! A guided tour thru the castle of Moritzburg was planned for 5.30 pm. Really interesting!! Then back to the hotel and we had a yummy yummy dinner!!! Big buffet and lotz to eat! Pictures!
I also uploaded the pictures of the Alibaba Restaurant, where we had a funny evening with some friends! That was two weeks ago! Pictures!
Hey Ho! I'm at university right now, checking my mail and write another diary entry! Yeah uni started again and it keeps me busy, lotz of homeworks to do but it is interesting. As you can see I got a new haircut! Do you like it? It looks great on me, doesnt it? Stefan would say: Looks more wild! Yeah yeah Im a wild Janny now *lol* Picture!
Last weekend I visited my relatives in Thalheim. Leo, the dog got soooo big!! Whoa, next time we come over he is all grown up! I took new pics of him, so check them out. Pictures!
Another news: Stefan is getting two kitties!!! Yeah two little little cute cute cute cats!! Awww!!! We went over to the family that gives them away and awww they are soooo cute! He is getting a black one, named Mogli and another "tiger" one, his name will be Kenny, not sure yet! Pictures!
So yeah Elli's Halloween party is coming up on the 4th of November, and guess who is coming over? Special guest this year is JAMIE!! Yeah for Jamie, for not going to Octoberfest this year but to Elli's party!!! Cannot wait!! But I need a freaky costume, mmhhh..got me an orange witch hat in Austria already, so tomorrow Im going to the Halloween store and get me something to wear! Hehe!!! Alrighty time for me to go.. leave comments so I know you were here!!! Please! Thanks Noell for your nice comment about my new haircut!
The weekend rocked: Mountains everywhere, covered with snow on top and the scenery was wonderful !!! I really enjoyed the fresh air and the view. We stayed in Saalbach, a village where only hotels exist. But all hotels were closed and won't open until December, when the ski-tourists are coming over. Our hotel and Hotel Peter were the only ones that were open: All day long we stayed in the restaurant of Hotel Peter to watch the shows of magicians, yes it was a weekend with alot of magic!! I will definitely come back next year to eat the yummy original "Felsensteak", a steak served on a hot rock. SooooOOooOooOOOOoo YUMMY! Best steak I have ever had. Pictures!
Elli's Halloween party is on November 4th in Leipzig! YEAH! Cannot wait to be there. Have to decide what to wear, should I be a witch or a bloody nurse again??
University starts on Monday :( 3 months of vacations are over :( But Christmas Vacation is soon, hehe! My schedule is okay, I only have one class on Mondays and Friday off. I sign uped for water-arobics this year, Nadine will participate as well! Need to get in shape before Christmas, they already have Christmas chocolate and Christmas stuff in the stores! AHHHHH!!
Last weekend I went clubbing with Nadine and Josi at Terminal1! It totally rocked there!! Picture!
This week was busy, I finally started with my Sociology-homework and went to Ellie on Monday. Every book in our library was lent out, so my only chance was to check out the library in Leipzig. Fortunately they had the books there, and Ellie was so kind to get them for me! Thanks girl! So yeah, after meeting Ellie again, me, my Mom and Stefan drove to my Grandmom's house for cake'n'coffee. Leo, the dog got bigger within 2 weeks and he behaves like a dog that bites! We all dont like it when he bites, but my Aunt said he is only fooling around like any other puppy.
On Saturday I had a BBQ party at my apartment. My Mom is away for a week: vacation in Ludwigslust with my Aunt, who won the free vacation! So yeah the BBQ was cool, guess it was the last one at my place, the BBQ season is almost over, the weather is getting worse: more windy and more rainy. Who was there: Franzi, Josie, Romy, Andre, Frank, Stefan and Pavel. More friends were expected to come but oh well, Pictures!
Friday Night: The bus ride to Belgium. The Berlin-Linien-Bus left in Dresden with a delay of 30 minutes: at 5:30 pm. And it really was a "Linien-Bus": no toilet, no "real" bus seats, very uncomfortable !!! The bus arrived in Leipzig an hour later, where Ellie and her boyfriend were already waiting. After a quick good-bye kiss for Christian, Ellie jumped into the bus and off we were.. The bus stopped again in Halle and Magdeburg to pick up people and finally arrived in Hannover at 11pm. But the time went by, Ellie and me were talking all night long. In Hannover we switched buses. The new bus was great and we even got the 5 seats in the back for ourselves. Five more hours to Antwerpen, but we couldnt really sleep in the bus: with our 3 am morning-coffee we stayed up until 5 am. We even arrived 10 minutes earlier than expected in a bad bad area of Antwerpen, Belgium. Aga already warned us of the bad bad bad area where the bus stopped, and we really experienced how bad it was: After the bus dropped us off a girl got beaten up by her boyfriend: Ahhhh!! And Aga wasnt there yet to pick us up with the car, Ellie and Me were scared to death! That really was a bad area!!!
Saturday Morning: Finally in Belgium. After waiting like 10 minutes, cars passing by and trying to hook up with us, Aga and Alex arrived to pick us up. Alex is Aga's new boyfriend and we were glad to finally get to meet him in person. The two couldnt believe what just happened while we were waiting for them. Never again let us wait Aga !! Aga and Alex are living an hour north of Antwerpen, in Jabbeke, a little village, surrounded by nice cows and cornfields. When we got to there apartment we had breakfast and went back to bed: We were all tired as hell. Happy, the dog, couldnt believe we were there to visit him and he really enjoyed our goodies. After 5 hours of sleep we got up and Alex and Aga were already making lunch for us: Mussels and French Fries! I never ever tried Mussels before, but I have to say they taste good..but..I would not eat them every week, one time a year is enough!
Saturday Afternoon & Evening: Visiting Brügge. Since there was nothing to see in Jabbeke, we drove 20 minutes to the next big town: Brügge. Brügge's history goes back to the 9th century, when the fortress was built. It is a really nice town, with lotz of shopping possibilities and old sights to see. We went on a sight-seeing-tour by boat where we had a great view of all the historical sights. For dinner Alex took us out at a barn-restaurant in the middle of cornfields. I had chicken and fries, Aga had steaks and fries and Ellie and Alex ate eel and fries. Yes I can say, if you ever go to a Belgium restaurant, all meals are served with french fries!! Gosh, why not noodles or rice?? But it was delicious.
Sunday: At the Beach in Jabbeke. Sunday we slept in and decided to go to the beach. The weather was nice and sunny and almost 30 Celcius. But: Still tooo cold for me to go swimming. Aga and Alex went swimming, and as far as I can remember they were the only ones except for some kiddis. Ellie and Me prefered to sun-tan :)
Sunday was "Love Actually" Movie night: After having yummy Pita (Döner) Alex bought us the DVD of Love Actually since Aga's American DVD didnt go along with the European DVD player. What can I say, Love Actually: The best movie ever, next time Aga and Ellie are casted for the main characters *laughs*
After the movie, and yes we only watched it ONCE!! we played UNO cards and guess who was loosing? Alex! Poor guy had to drink almost the whole Vodka bottle. Hehe!!
Monday: Shopping at Brügge. Since Aga had her Dutch class in the Morning, she dropped us off in Brügge. Ellie and Me had finally time to go shopping *YEAH* We love to shop, and the prices were moderate: So we decided to try on the new fashion: like you can see in the pictures, the clothes fit us perfectly!! At 4 pm Aga was supposed to pick us but she was a half hour late! And yes we had to wait!! When they finally arrived we went straight to the grocery store and bought food for dinner. Ellie and Me decided to cook for Aga and Alex, since we didnt wanna eat something with fries again: turkey and rice and salad: YUMMY! Only the Maggie-Sauce was missing.
Tuesday: Visiting Oostende - North Sea. On our last day in Belgium, Aga took us to the North Sea! It was only 20 minutes away from Jabbeke, and the weather was great to walk on the beach. We even took Happy with us: Poor little Happy has to stay in the Apartment the whole time :( We forced Aga to take Happy with us to Oostende and it was Happy first time to go swimming in the Ocean! Normally he only takes showers, so first time swimming! But he was scared to death. We almost tracked him into the water and he was shaking the whole time. Fortunately Ellie brought a goodie for him, to feel better. When Happy got out of the water he looked like a rat, really funny. So we decided to sit at the beach and wait in the sun for Happy to become dry. Poor little doggie, but he loved to be around us. In the evening we went back to Jabbeke for dinner and then Alex drove us to Antwerpen. Our bus was supposed to leave at 11:45 pm so we still had enough time to go sight-seeing in Antwerpen. But there wasnt really lotz to see, because everything was already closed. We spent the last hours in two bars, chatting and having Shisha.
Monday Morning: Back in Dresden. Our bus was a half hour late, so we left Antwerpen at around Midnight and finally arrived in Dresden at 11 am Monday morning. The Belgium trip was awesome, good to see Aga again, and finally meet her boyfriend. We saw lotz of Belgium and even got yummy Belgium chocolate from Aga and Alex. Guys we are coming back soon! Thanks again for everything, we had a blast. Pictures!
I'm leaving for Belgium tonight! Aga just called me that "Love Actually" our favorite DVD is already waiting *hehe* The bus leaves in Dresden at 5.30 pm, then we stop in Leipzig one hour later to pick up Elli, and there we go towards Antwerpen, Belgium! I really cannot wait, Im sooo excited to meet the girls again, we gonna have a great time Im sure!! I will be back Wednesday..more details are coming soon.
Leo is sooo cute!! Really adorable! Pictures! He loves to play with a shoe and sleeps alot, well he is only 8 weeks old. My Grandmom wasn't that happy to get a new dog, she is still not over the old dog Arco. But we will always remember Arco, so now she has to get along with Leo!
After we came back from my Grandmom's Stefan and Me went shopping for a new couch and a TV-rack. And he really liked one brownish couch and he bought a TV-rack that totally fits into his new apartment. Ikea didnt have that many couches and they actually were not confy enough. So I guess Stefan will get that brownish couch soon, if his parents are okay with the price.
Tonight we are invited to Stefan's parents' home for a BBQ. The weather is great and sunny today, just perfect for a BBQ. Guess the BBQ season is over soon, but I will have another BBQ party at home again soon, inviting some friends and say GoodBye to the Summer.
The last days were stressful: We finished painting Stefan's new apartment, packed his stuff and finally moved his stuff on Wednesday. I rented a big car for a student price to save money, but that car was horrible to navigate in a one way street with almost no parking spots!! AHH!! Do not ask how I got in and out of the parking spot, it took me hours! It was so narrow! Fortunately David and Mario helped Stefan with moving..we wouldnt have made it by the two of us. The first night in his new apartment was nice and cosy, we could sleep with window open, and see the stars :) Good thing he got that roof-apartment!!
For Stefan's birthday we went for dinner at Ali Baba an Egyptien restaurant, really cool place!! Reminded me of our trip to Egypt. But the food tasted like Greek food, hehe! Today is our 2 years Anniversary, but we havent planned anything special, it will be a day like the others. Two years being together is a long time and actually for me it is the longest relationship yet. I love him to death and I love being around him but with the time things get normal and a day feels like everyday. So yeah we have to work on staying special and love eachother like on the first day :)
Check out some pictures of Stefan's new apartment and his Birthday. And check out the partypics of the Bowleparty last Saturday.
My exams are over and I'm on summer vacation until October *YEAH* Feels great!! Me and Stefan been busy, he signed his apartment-contract two weeks ago and now we are painting his walls in diffrent colors. Thats alot of work but it looks cool already.
This Thursday I went bowling with the uni-girls and we had lotz of fun. I won two rounds, YEAH Im good at bowling. I probably won because all the girls got his nails done and were more concentrating on not getting them ruined. Pictures!
Happy 23rd Birthday to ROMY !!!!!!!!!!!! She turned 23 on Aug 2nd! Going to her Birthday party tomorrow night. She is going to have a BBQ at the Elbe, hopefully it wont rain. The weather sucks lately, windy and rainy all day long, it is depressing.
Finally uploaded the pictures from Mario's birthday: Pictures!
The festival started last weekend and will last the whole week. It is a huge street-fest in the old town of Dresden: with lotz of stages, where artists perform and lotz of stalls where you can buy stuff and eat yummy German food! The weather is perfect, maybe a little toooo hot to go there during the day, but after sunset the inner city is very crowded!
Friday Night me and Stefan went to the Night-Skating and right afterwards rushed Downtown to meet friends and party up all weekend long. Bowle Party rocked!!! Pictures!
Apart from partying, I had to study hard: Last week my exams started and I had one yesterday, so the last one is tomorrow in Statistics. I already got the result of the first exam last Tuesday: Grade 1,3! (A) YEAH!!! The other two were really difficult but I hope I passed them. Statistics tomorrow is going to be awful, I do not understand a thing! Fortunately it is a multiple choice exam, so I will just guess the answers *lol*
After my exam tomorrow I will be off until October !!! SUMMER here I come !!!Finally no university and no studying! YEAH! Im planning to visit Aga in Belgium for a week, and I will also help Stefan, moving into his new apartment end of August. Yup, and definitely meet up with friends, go swimming and have a good time *smiles*
Germany- Third place in the worldcup! Beating Portugal 3-1! Italy wins the Soccer worldcup! Italy are champions for a fourth time. They held their nerve in a penalty shoot-out to score all five kicks as David Trezeguet missed for France.
Im back from a long weekend at my Granny's! Stefanie's graduation party was on Friday already, so me and Stefan went ober by car in the afternoon. The party started at 5, so we got all dressed.
Stefanie wore a very beautiful light-yellow-dress, it looked like a wedding dress or better she looked like a princess! Her boyfriend Manuel also wore a yellow shirt, so they fit perfectly! The party was great: awesome program, lotz of food, lotz of alc, lotz of fun! I guess we left the party at 1:30 am, because we were all tired and sweaty! You cannot imagine, how hot and humid it was in the party hall! No Air-Conditioning!! Ahhhh!! Well I will upload the pictures tomorrow, so check back!
On Saturday we had a BBQ in the garden, but Arco was missing!! No dog, that wanted a steak or a sausage :( Me and Stefanie made a huge poster of Arco for my Grandparents and gave it to them today, my Granny cried! Aww! She really misses him alot! So after the BBQ we saw the soccer game- Public viewing is in- thats why we went to a place with lotz of people! The atmosphere was awesome, and Germany beat Portugal..YEAH!!! GO DEUTSCHLAND! Now the worldcup is OVER :( finally! Back to normal life, ahhh I really missed it. Wish me luck on my exams this coming Tuesday and Thursday, please.
Good Bye Argentina, semi-finals we are coming!! YEAH! GO DEUTSCHLAND!! Did I ever say, Im proud to be German? Yes, I am! I am proud of our soccer team!! The did a great job tonight, beating Argentina!!
What's new? You definitely like my new layout..?? If not email me and I will change it *hehe* Nahhh, I won't change it! Im still busy studying for my upcoming exams. English is on Monday, 2 exams in the week of 10th-14th and another 2 exams in the week of 17th-21st. And then Im done for this summer! Summer-Vacation until October *YAY*
My cousin Stefanie can be very proud: She graduated from High School! She did good on her A-Level Exams so the graduation party is coming Friday (7th). Cannot wait to see her in her graduation dress (it's yellow).
Yesterday I went with Franzi to the Tracy Chapman Concert at "Junge Garde". We didnt have tickets, but like most of the people who didnt have tickets, we were sitting infront of the Junge Garde, had a little BBQ and were listing to the songs. Fortunately it didnt rain that night!!
I finally got my new scanner: So check out the pictures from Tropical Islands, which I (finally) scanned!
The last week was pretty hot! I hate to go to University when it is hot outside. Not in every room is a Air Conditioning, so it is hard to concentrate on the lectures. Plus in two weeks my exams start, how am I able to study when it is so hot?? I wanna go swimming every day! Well Thursday I had no lectures at all, so me, Stefan, Franzi and Stephan went to Cossebaude reservoir to go swimming *yeah* We were the only ones there, probably because it was so clowdy and windy, nobody tried to hop into the water. But we had fun. Pictures!
Yesterday Franzi threw a BBQ Party at her parents' house. They were on vacation so we could use their garden :) Romy and his boyfriend were there, Martin, Franzi and her boyfriend and her cousin Jörg, me and Stefan. Had a good time, eating steaks, playing drinking games and fooling around. Pictures!
My Granny's dog died today *sad*. Arco was the best dog ever, 13 years full of joy and full of life. Im going to miss him badly. Picture!
I got to see Arco for the last time last weekend. My Mom and Me went to my Grannys because of the "Kapellentreffen". Had a yummy BBQ in the garden, where Arco got his last steaks, he seemed okay. But his health wasn't good anymore, he couldn't really walk around and he wasn't able to hold his pee. So I guess it was time for God to send him to heaven. Pictures!
Yes it is hot outside! About 33° Celcius! Like Tibor chilling in the sun (Picture!) I skipped the last two lessons yesterday at Uni and went swimming with Stefan & Co at Cossebaude Stausee. The water was perfect to go swimming, not tooo cold! Normally it takes me like a half hour to get into the water when it is cold, but yesterday it was perfect. In the evening me and Stefan watched the Soccer World Cup: Germany won against Poland 1-0! Also Germany beat Costa Rica in the tournament opener 4-2!! Go Deutschland!!
Monday morning at 6 am we started from Stefan's parents. We could use their car for trip *thanks!* and left Dresden at 6.30. Guess when we arrived in Soltau? Around 10.30 am we got there. Normally it takes us 5 hours to get to Soltau, but the new Highway was done, so we got there in only 3,5 hours. Of course we had a yummy breakfast break in Magedburg. We went straight to the campground, which was only 500 m away from the adventure park! But we didnt check in, the weather was clowdy and it was suppose to rain that day, so we only parked the car there and walked to the Heidepark in case we are going to sleep somewhere else. We paid 26 Euro for the entrance but could ride everything that often we want to. Everything I can remember from 5 years ago was that we waited hours for one ride!! But this time, we didnt wait at all: the longest we waited was 30 mins for a 1,5 min ride on the wooden rollercoaster! We had great rides and at the end Stefan won the "Tiger" of Winnie Pooh!! So cute I love stuffed animals. Pictures! The park closed at 6 pm so we walked back to the campground and checked in. The weather seemed okay for camping. To our surprise we were the only ones at there! Good for us, it was very quiet! After we setted up our tent, it started to rain !!! Oh no! Fortunately it didnt last long so went to sleep at 8 pm. Tuesday Morning we got up at 9 and left Soltau at 11. We were back in Dresden at 2.30 pm! Yuppppp *smiles*
Wednesday I went with Nadine and her cousin Franzi to the Weberplatz Fest at the University. Lotz of students and an awesome band played all night long!!! Met Christian there and some others and Dresden Nightlife took a party picture of us: I will post it later, should be up on there website tomorrow.
Tomorrow is the big day: The soccer worldcup starts: Germany vs Costa Rica in Munich. Whole Germany is crazy about the worldcup, you can buy anything related to the worldcup: even sausages in worldcup style and more things like that! Well we will see if Germany wins...??
Hey everyone! Im off until June 12! Isnt that great? I had to give another lecture on Thursday but it went well. For the English lecture on Monday I got a 1,3 (A) so yeah I had two little grammar mistakes thats why she couldnt give me a 1,0. Whatever! Im glad those lectures are over, I really hate to give them!!! Im always sooo nervous to speak infront of the class!
Friday, me Stefan and his Mom checked out another appartment. If I didnt tell you, Stefan is moving out of the WG in August, because he wants to move into a 2-room-apt by himself. The other two guys in the WG have to move out as well, because they could not afford the apartment. Mario already signed a contract for a new apt, only David didnt look for a new apt yet. So Stefan's new apartment is still in the Neustadt, but it is not that noisy than on Alaunstr. We all really liked it alot, so I guess Stefan is going to move in there. Friday Night, the University girls came over to my apartment: Anja, Josi and Anja: We had a little BBQ at the balcony and chatted all night long. And the new BBQ grill did his job: The steaks were delicious!
Saturday afternoon my Aunt and my Uncle came over to Dresden. Stefanie couldnt come, she had to work Saturday Night *aww* another time she cannot come with us to the Bowleparty. So we had a BBQ at the balcony with our new grill. Then in the afternoon Me and Stefan went to the Zoo! Because we really wanted to see the new baby elephant!! He looked sooooo tiny!! But most of the time he was asleep :( so I couldnt really see him well. We had a great time at the Zoo, seeing all those animals and eating Icecream! Pictures!
Saturday Night: Bowleparty at Terminal 1! It rocked alot!!! I went with Anja and Anja, and we met Heiko and his friends there, plus some others. Great times, although it wasnt that crowded than usual. I drunk 4 Bowle and didnt feel well today, a little hangover, ya know! So today I gonna rest probably and get my stuff ready. Because tomorrow me and my bunny are going to Heidepark Soltau. Thats a huge adventure park up by Hannover. Cannot wait! Stefan never been there, and the last time I been was like 5 years ago. I will tell you everything when we are back!
Friday afternoon me and Stefan drove over to Ellie's house in Leipzig. It was great to see her again, also Trixie her dog and her parents and her boyfriend Christian. After we had cake'n'coffee with Ellie's parents we spent the evening at Christian's apartment, playing games, drinking, talking and eating Pizza. Together with some other friends we decided to go clubbing at "Volkshaus" Leipzig. The name sounds weird but the location was awesome!! Best club I ever been to, we didnt even pay to get in and the drinks were cheap as well. But it seems like, the people in Leipzig do not like to dance at all, alot were just sitting around and talking. Mmh we had fun! Saturday we slept in and walked to the inner city to go shopping!! Leipzig has much more shops and malls than Dresden, great!! I got me 2 shirts and Stefan bought his first polo-shirt! Looks good on him! Of course we had lunch at SUBWAY, a must, for us. Gosh I love Tuna-Sandwich. Dont you? Great times!! Pictures!
Today was our first "Grundschultreffen" (Elementary School Reunion), we didnt get in contact with all, so there were only Anita, Diana, Silke, Silvana, Fanny, Nelly and Me. Weird feeling after sooooooo many years, I left Elementary School in 1993! But the girls still look the same, except for Silke. Picture!
Hey! Sup? Like the green layout? I changed it today because I couldnt stand the pink anymore. My week was kinda short, only Mon to Wedn due to a day of yesterday. And Fridays Im off anyway, glad I got some time to prepare my upcoming speeches. Me and Stefan will leave in 2 hours: We are going to visit Elli and her boyfriend in Leipzig. Christians birthday was last week so we are going to celebrate it. Last Saturday we went to the Czech Republic, because we got the car of Stefan's parents and the weather was good enough for a little trip. Had lunch in Hrensko and Stefan had fun shopping at the basar. He bought so much stuff: Tshirts, DVD, Sweets and parfume, well it was cheap as hell! We didnt go to the Night Skating last Friday, it was soooo windy that we decided to go to the movies instead. Guess what we saw? The Da Vinci Code! Great movie, although the church stuff at the beginning made me fall asleep. But really interesting, go and see it if you havent! Only one more week and then Im off for vacations (Jun 5 to 11) We already decided what we gonna do: Going to the Amusement Park in Soltau with Franzi and her boyfriend Stephan. It is going to be cool, cannot wait!! Alrighty guys, take care.
The weekend was great: Friday night we had a little BBQ Party at the Elbe: Who was there? Franzi, Stephan, Anne, Anja, Mario, Romy, Andre, Lisa, Me and Stefan. But the weather sucked!!! It wasnt suppose to rain that night, but the weatherman was wrong! Luckily it started before we setted up the BBQ, so we moved to a pavilion near Rosengarten and started it. Pictures!
Friday, me and Stefan went shopping, I actually wanted to get me new Skates but I couldnt find any good ones. So we only bought new pants for Stefan and Mother's Day presents for our Mummys :) On Saturday I finally got new Skates: by Rollerblade for 150 Euro, really good ones!! Super awesome cool ones, I tried them out the same night, and they are perfect for me: Now I can go to the Night Skating *yeah* I need to take a picture and show you how cool they look!! Sunday was "Mom's Day" so I took Mom out for dinner at our favorite Greek restaurant, just around the corner. We had a yummy dinner and when we left, my Mom got a red rose from the waiter. And of course my present :) She loved it!!
Here is a Picture of my university class, taken on Wednesday last week, for the communication conference in June. Alot of important communication scientists will be at our university to discuss new things. If you look close enough, Im holding the "K" letter :)
I just found out that my grade in Sociology will not be accepted. The thing is when I had the exam I wasnt on the signature list. Although I signed up to take that exam. Anyway the prof said on the day of the exam, I should write my name on the signature list, so I did and now I got an Email saying the grade will not be accepted and I have to take the Exam again. I need to go to the Secretary again to check all lists to prove I signed up for the exam before!!
Coming weekend I have another Exam in Public Relations, on a Saturday Morning! Uhh!! I also have to go in tomorrow for the PR class.. although Fridays Im always off. Oh well, I will get over it. Saturday night we are definitely going to have a BBQ, probably at the Elbe or at Stefan's parents. We will see! The weather is awesome: sunny, sunny, sunny and high temperature!! I really need to go Inline Skating.
Im back from a cool weekend at my Grandmom's!! But let me tell you about the "Hauptstrassen Fest" first: Great opening on Friday: The Country band "The Boss Hoss" rocked the streets!! Lotz of friends came with me: Anja, Stefan, Franzi, Rico, Martin, Romy, Lisa, Dirk, David, Maria. We all had a great night! Pictures!
Couldnt stay tooo long because Saturday Morning, Me, my Mom and Anja left for my Grandmom's. We arrived after lunch, picked up Stefanie and chilled at my Granny's the whole Saturday. On Sunday was the big day: The "Hexenfeuer" or "Dance into May", whatever you wanna call it. Anyway like every year, about 10 witches dance around a huge fire to say Good Bye to April. For a great May to come! The whole village celebrated with us, BBQ, Alc and friends, what else you want more? Met Romina again, a friend I played with when I was young and on vacation at my Grannys. Also I got to know Stefanie's new boyfriend: Manuel. He seems like a nice guy and they are very cute together! He gives Stefanie emotional support while she is taking the A - Levels. Hehe! Pictures!
Raul aka "Talmid" from Israel visited me in Dresden on Sunday. We know eachother since 2001 and finally got to meet. And he got me as his personal Dresden guide. We did a sight-seeing tour from 1 to 6 pm!!! Visited all the important sights, such as the Frauenkirche, Semper Opera House, Synagoge and the Blue Wonder Bridge! Stopped at Subway for Breakfast, had lunch at Pulverturm and dinner at a Döner restaurant!! We have to had Döner!! LOL! All in all it was a great day and I cannot wait to visit Raul in Mexiko. Pictures!
Saturday evening me and my Mom went for dinner at Espitas and afterwards I went to club Dafa with Romy and Martin. Horrible times! Really we are TOOO OLD for this club. All those 16, 17 and 18s teens, I didnt fit there with my age of 23. Ahhhh! No more Dafa!
I didnt go to the English class today, I studied for my Exam on Friday. Thats an Exam that I have to still take from last Semester, so all old stuff, and I really needed to review it. Crossed my fingers for Stefanie today, she wrote her A- Level exam in German today and there are more A- Level exams coming up this week. GOOD LUCK COUSIN!!!!
Me, my Mom and Anja will go over my Grandmom's house coming weekend. The May fest is on Sunday, we also gonna have a BBQ and celebrate Stefanie's A Levels! The weather is getting better, the sun came out today and the temperature was about 18-20C.
Yesterday we had the first BBQ party of this season! Although the weather was bad, we had lotz of fun at Franzi's: Having a BBQ at the balcony! Who was there? Franzi and her boyfriend Stephan, Sabine and her boyfriend Lars, Romy and her boyfriend Andre, Martin and Me. Martin was so kind and brought us Easter Chocolate Eggs. Yummy!! The steaks were awesome, I had 3 steaks!! And you cannot imagine how I feel now? Stuffed up like a Teddy. After the BBQ we played several drinking games and the evening got better and better *lol* Pictures!
Tonight Me and Anja will go to the 2nd Bowle Party of this year. It is going to be FUN FUN FUN! Cannot wait! Tomorrow my uncle and my aunt are coming over and we will go out to have dinner somewhere. And I hope I will get lots of Easter candy and presents *hehe* Me and Stefan saw "Ice Age 2" last week and it totally rocked!! Awesome movie you need to see!! Much better than the first one and funny as hell. Alrighty nothing else to tell you, enjoy the holidays and dont eat toooo much candy!!
Sad news for Dresden: About 300 people were evacuated from their homes over the weekend in Dresden as the water level of the Elbe river reached its banks. Other cities along the Elbe such as Bad Schandau, Prina, Wehlen,Rathen, Koenigstein and Heidenau have been already experiencing heavy flooding. The region last saw the century's worst flood in August 2002, when the high waters of the Elbe and its tributaries caused an immeasurable amount of damage and financial loss. Although we are better prepared than in 2002 it is causing alot of damage! Pictures!
On March 21st we celebrated Anja's 23rd Birthday at the WG! Not much, only some friends, some wine and Muffins. Hehe! The big party was last Saturday and it rocked the city! The day before the party was Franzi's birthday, so me and Stefan went over her apartment to celebrate. Franzi invited 8 of her friends and we had lotz of fun playing drinking games all evening long. Pictures!
On Saturday was Anja and My Birthday party and we rented a youth club in Dresden Neustadt. Invited were about 25 friends and most of them came. We had really good times, so the people who didnt came, missed out!!! Pictures 1 and Pictures 2. Thanks again to everybody who came to the Birthday party and thanks for the presents!
Today is Monday and only one week is left until university starts again. Stefan's vacation is over as well, he started working again today. Tomorrow, me, Romy and Franzi will go to the Mexican Restaurant Espitas for dinner and maybe in the afternoon, I will go with Anja to Uni to check out our exams! Went to Espitas for dinner today with Romy and Franzi and we had a great evening talking about guys!! LOL! Cheers!
Im soooo glad about it!!! We have one more exam mid April, after Easter vacation, so got enough time to study for it. Im still on vacation and we went to the Pink Party last Saturday. Pictures! But it wasn't that good. Oh well. Me and Anja visited our friend from college today, Tini. Tini seemed really stressed out by her little daugher Lari, but Lari is sooo cute! She is only 2,5 years old and already knows poems and songs. So cute! Yup, tonight Anja will sleep over and we are having a girls-night with my Mom! Just chill and watch TV together and talk, of course! Yup nothing else to tell you guys, dont forget my party on March 25!!
My cousin's birthday party and my Aunt's birthday was this weekend, so me and my Mom headed over to my Grandmom's house on Friday. When we arrived a really sick Arco -the dog welcomed us. Arco is the dog of my Grandmom and he got a hip problem so he cannot really walk anymore. He looked terrible, although my Grandmom said he got better already. Aww, well problems with the hip is a typical age problem for dogs, and all you can do is, get your dog a new hip, and that's expensive! We cannot afford it so Arco has to live with it. Picture!
On Saturday it was my Aunt's 38th birthday and we went for lunch at a restaurant. Even my Grandpa joined us! Good food and much better than from a city-cook. Stefanie threw a also her 19th birthday party in the evening. Gosh you cannot imagine how many of her friends came to the party. Over 130 were invited and I bet about 100 came. It took place in a youth-club, and this one was better than the one from the last years! It even had a real bar..and I always wanted to play the barkeeper. Since Anja and Stefan couldnt come to Stefanie's party I was by myself and I didnt really know anybody there. Good idea then to play the barkeeper, together with my Mom and my Aunt. Hard job I can tell, lotz to do and everybody wanted drinks at the same time. Ahhh! But we made it! Pictures!
So yeah had a great weekend at my Grandmom's and looking forward to spend some days with my sweety Stefan. He's going to be off for 20 days, we probably go somewhere, maybe sight-seeing and shopping in Berlin or Frankfurt or Praha, we will see..since Im still off until April 1st *hehe* poor Stefanie has her A-level exams soon and needs to study.
Today is Stefan and my 1,5 years anniversary!! We didnt do anything exciting, since Stefan has to work on night-shift :( He has to work 6 days in a row so there's not much time for us to spend together. But we went for ice cream at 'Cafe Europa' this afternoon, so I felt a little better! Gosh 1,5 years already, time passed by soooo quick. But I dont regret any day so far, hope for more good ones to come.
Yesterday me and my Grandmom went to our new Church 'Frauenkirche', since it opened we havent been inside. So yesterday was the day! Lotz of people (tourists I guess) waited outside already when we came, so we had to stand in a row for 15 minutes until it opened. The church looks very huge from outside but it is really small inside. I really expected it to be bigger inside plus I didnt like the colors: Everything was painted in light-pink, light-blue, light-green and gold. Well it looks nice and bright. I always thought of churches to be dark inside, but that church is the real opposite. Maybe thats just my opinion.
Guess where Elli is at? In Chicago, ahhhhh! Im jealous! She flew over with Franzi a few days ago and is going to stay there a while. Visiting her host-parents, partying legally all night long, meeting people and eating Tacobell, yeah Im jealous! But Im going to party up tonight with Anja at Bowle Party!! YEAH! Cannot wait! Love winter break! Tomorrow Im going to visit Romy in her new apartment, she moved out of her parents house and lives in Pesterwitz now. Thats a little village outside of Dresden, really boring but you got a nice view of Dresden! Also heading over to my cousins house on Friday, Stefanie is turning 19 and is throwing a huge birthday party on March 4th.
I had a blast on my 23rd Birthday, my relatives and my friends came over for tea time and in the evening we went for dinner at a Greek restaurant. Loved the 'All you can eat' buffet and the Ouzo! Back at the WG we decided to go partying at 'Strasse E'. Cute club had its 'Seven colors black' party, thats why we had to dress in black. Good times at the club, the girls from uni joined in as well and of course Port01 took party pictures of all of us. Pictures!
For Valentine's Day me and Stefan went for Dinner at 'Carolaschlosschen' thats a beautiful castle in the middle of Dresden. Inside everything was decorated very romantic, with candles and hearts and roses.. plus a band played love songs all night, so yeah it was great! Stefan gave me flowers and a heart-box with 365 lots! I have to open a lot every day and on it is written a love-saying/quote. Cute idea, isn't it?
That's what I look like with 23! Got a new haircolor yesterday! Like it? Makes me more mature, don't you think? Hehe, my family and friends are coming over for 'cake and coffee' at around 3 pm and at 7 pm we booked a table at a Greek restaurant. Picture!
Im off !!! Until April !!! YEAH!! Finally winter break!! Be jealous. Had my last of five exams today and they all were good, except the one in Statistics. Not sure if I passed that one. We will see! My 23rd Birthday is coming up on Saturday! Dont forget :) I want lotz of presents!! So yeah my cousin, aunt and uncle are coming over, also my friend Romy and Stefan. In the evening we will go to a Greek restaurant, for All you can eat - Greek food! Yum! Did I ever say I love Greek food? I love Ouzo and I love Tzaziki!!!
Hehe, so what Im gonna do while Im on break?? I will move! Lol, dont ask, Im moving from one room to another. Also Im trying to visit Aga in Sweden, depending on plane tickets to Stockholm. Yes, polish Aga is in Sweden, and Ellie is flying to the States. And Im staying in Germany :( No money for vacation this year, but next year: big plans: Usa and Mexico!! Valentine's Day is on Tuesday, so me and Stefan will go out for dinner! Gosh I love to go out for Dinner!! Im also trying to work out and get in shape for summer. I havent been to the gym since weeks!! I want it to be summer, I hate this moody weather out there: snow, rain, cold, ah!
Hey yo, what's up everybody? Long time no post, sorry for that!! You know I been busy studying for my upcoming exams next week *uggh* Last Thursday we already had one, in Communication, and it went very well!! I guess Im getting a B! I will let you know.
Lotz of Birthdays are coming up, Heiko already turned 29 and threw a Birthday party last Saturday. Me and Stefan got a ride by my Mom's collegue husband to Wilsdruff, where Heiko is living. Yes, our car was still broken by that time but fortunately it is fixed now! Took them 2 months, can you believe it? I mean thats okay with me, since Im not using the car very often, but my Mom had to take the tram and for Christmas we all took the train to my Grandmom's house! Gosh I hate to go by train!! Within the city it's okay but not any further. Anyway, Heiko's party was great, although we were the youngest, since his friends are all the same age like he is. But that was fine, had lotz of fun, drunk alc and ate Chilli ConCarne! Yum! Im also happy for Heiko, seems that he finally found a new girlfriend *smiles* .. cause you know Valentine's Day is coming up soon, and who wants to be alone on that day?? Not me!!
Today Im going to the gym with Stefan and afterwards I have my last Jounalism class where we get the results for our report, so Im excited if the prof liked it or not! The topic was "A day in the life of .. " so we could choose someone to write about and I wrote about my friend Sylvia, who bought a Döner restaurant with her husband! And since she is young and it is not typical for a German to open a turkish Döner restaurant, I thought it would be interesting!??
My Mom's Birthday is on Sunday, and friends are invited for a Birthday Brunch! Yum, lotz of food! I know Im talking about food toooo much, sorry! Maybe because Im hungry again, so yeah I will grab something to eat and then head on to Stefan's.
University started on Wednesday, and Im back on studying for my upcoming exams. English exam is on Jan 16, and I dont think I need to learn for that, maybe the vocab. We have to understand an English text and answer questions in German! Guess that's easy!
This weekend was kinda cool, we didnt do anything on Friday night but yesterday we went Bowling at US PLAY. Me, Stefan, Martin, Anja and David, and I won 2 games! Yeah me! I really like Bowling and I havent done it in years! So we rented a bowling alley for 11 pm and left around 1 am. Two hours full of fun, only Anja was depressed, because she just got her nails done. Pictures!
Today me and Stefan slept in until 11 and went for a walk in the afternoon. Although it was really cold outside, the sun came out and lightened up our day. Ahhh I just love to walk in the sun and the winter wonder land *smiles* Pictures!
Another news: I rented a party room for me and Anja's 23rd Birthday party!! Im sooo glad I got a room in the youth club this year, it didnt work out last year. So we gonna have a party on March 25th at "Louise", just around the corner of Stefan's apartment. Cannot wait, invitation will be sent out soon, I need to create a flyer first. Alrighty guys, thats it for this week, need to get back to my books, take care!
Today is the 1st day of the 2006 and I hope you all partied into the new year!? We went to Martin's party in the evening, where we met Franzi and her friends, and Anja and David were there as well. We played some funny drinking games and ate alot! Around 11.30 pm we walked down to the "Golden Reiter", where we had an awesome view at the Dresden skyline. Lotz of fireworks and people in the inner city. So all in all the old year ended early for me, we went to bed at 1:30 am already, didnt drink much but had fun as usual. Pictures!
My new years resolutions are to work out more and concentrate more on my studies. Maybe get back into doing some websites and graphics. So wait for my new 2006 - website - layout. It's coming soon.
Over Christmas me and Stefan went to my Grandmom's, visited my cousin, visited my Dad and Stefan's parents.. so we all got lotz of Christmas presents and were together with our families. We ate alot this Christmas and of course I got lotz of candy!! Ahh, although I told everybody not to give me candy and chocolate for Christmas, but they could not resist. Pictures!
Thanks to everyone who sent me Christmas greetings and I hope you all liked my self-made Christmas card!?
Today we already went to the first Birthday of the new year: Stefan's sister Anita celebrated her 25th Birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! More Birthdays are coming up soon, and Im already planning my Birthday party, probably not on Feb 11 but in March. Me and Anja will have a Birthday party together. Alrighty guys, enjoy the new year, university starts Wednesday for me and exams are due to end of January already..ahh!
